11 Indicted After Deputies Find The Largest Marijuana Grow In North Carolina
By Samantha Lewis
A Lincoln County grand jury has indicted 11 people on drug charges after a large marijuana-growing facility was discovered. One of the 11 suspects is already in prison, and another is on his way to prison after his arrest.
Investigators were informed of the operation at a house in Am Hof Street and carried out a search warrant at the house on 16 November. Jack Lewis Jr., 47, lived in the apartment and was present during the search, and investigators also recovered four firearms and a large amount of ammunition. When authorities searched the property, they found the largest marijuana growing facility, which yielded about 30 pounds of marijuana.
They were charged with conspiracy to manufacture marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, sell or dispose of marijuana, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon, and possession and sale of marijuana for sale or distribution.
